Zaafarana Beige.

Zaafarana Beige is the outlier among the creams. Its water absorption reads 0.12 % — less than half that of the Sunny beiges — on a bulk specific gravity of 2,754. In practice that means a beige stone that takes wetting far better than a beige stone usually does.

That is the reason to specify it: pool surrounds, bathroom floors, courtyards, entrance thresholds and any exterior where the client wants a warm stone but the detail will hold water. It is not granite, and it still wants sealing and drainage — but it is the most water-tolerant beige in this catalogue.

The colour is a quiet, slightly greyed beige with fine close figuring, plainer than the Sunny family and easier to lay in quantity.

Honed and brushed for wet floors, sandblasted where grip is critical, polished indoors. Supplied as blocks, slabs and cut to size.
