Gandonna Aswan.

Gandonna is the most emphatic of the Aswan granites: mottled rather than speckled, warmer than Karnak Grey, and higher in contrast than either of its red neighbours. The pattern moves across the face in patches rather than an even scatter.

That makes it a stone with a scale requirement. A single panel cuts the pattern off before it resolves and reads as an accident; a full wall or a large floor gives it the room to become deliberate. Specify it in fields, not in fragments, and ask for the quantity to come from one block wherever the pattern has to run continuously.

Polished where the contrast should be at full strength, flamed where the same stone needs to work underfoot outdoors.
